The forests of Aravalli and Satpura hill ranges have already been traversed but the opportunity of exploring the hills of Vindhyachal and the lush Teak forests was going to be attained in this new place of the tigers in Ratapani Sanctuary.

As a part of the survey for these hidden jewels of nature in such pristine forests that are nestled in the arms of Vindhya. The journey was commenced from the capital city of Bhopal towards the untrodden stretch of woods. While walking into the deep forests everything felt so mesmerizing, the gentle touch of the breeze on the skin and the scent of woods was enough to blow the senses. The picturesque views and lush montage of trees was a vision to behold and an experience to cherish for a lifetime. This surreal adventure bewitched everyone and we couldn’t realize that we had been walking from two straight hours such was the luminosity of these dense Teak trees that it illuminated our hearts and we were so full of joy. In the waning light of evening, we reached the camp that was anchored in the center of the forest where everyone shared their part of experiences that they perceived throughout the day.

 The next morning, through the survey of butterflies, our steps lay in the forest to survey the balance of nature and the invisible thread of life's intertwined fabric. We were walking along the hills with tall Teak trees lined up on the one side, on the other hand small streams of crystal-clear water flowing with a sweet melodic tone was enough to reduce and beat the fatigue. 

The gusts of the wind blowing across the tall grass left them shivering. The footsteps of the forest king were imprinted in the middle of the path and the chirping of birds coming from the distant valley was adding an enthusiastic fervor. Moving forward we feasted our eyes on the butterflies of different colors fluttering all around. The aesthetic beauty of the forest was even more charming from the watchtower view and was soothing to the eyes. 
Witnessing the movement of birds in the waterlogged area and the Chital and Nilgai sniffing water along the banks was altogether an astonishing experience. The feeling of being present and experiencing such sights in the dense forests of central India was providing an immense joy and exuberance.

We also got the opportunity to visit the Fort of Ginnorgarh , a historical heritage site resonating with the tales of Queen Kamalapati situated in the heart of Ratapani. The expedition further led us to the archeological sites of Bhima Baithka.
In this way we spent two days in the spellbinding beauty of nature which will remain forever in our hearts. The phrase of the state anthem best describes its mesmerizing beauty and the ultimate treasures found in the Madhya Pradesh; 

"उर्वर भूमि , सघन वन , रत्न सम्पदा यहां अशेष है"

 After witnessing the bounteous treasures of these forests our souls were rejuvenated and these forests sent us back with cherishable and precious memories. 

This mind-blowing journey gave an opportunity to understand the insignificance of man in front of the vastness of nature and made us ponder over the emptiness of urban life that is deprived of such bounteous gifts of forests. The time spent in the bosom of nature and the untold stories of exploration in 
the kingdom of Vanraj left an imperishable impact on the mind, the journey into this untarnished and pristine forest and its experiences will always be cherished.
